Managed to mock up an animation of the new more efficient suspension system that pushed loads along the strut with minimum rotation at the static mounting point that is at the node of the frames triangulation (bit of a tongue twister). A distance of 140mm wheel travel is possible with this geometry, this is more than enough. This new position for the strut will require new framework on the swing arm that triangulates up from the the swingarm pivot point to the moving end of the strut, then back down towards the motor’s pivot bolt. The simulated movement is illustrated in the motion gif below. Oh well, more work to do in 3D CAD — but confident that this could all work now.
