Have started to attain components for the XJ600e. Starting with a headlight, bought from China. Works well when lit with 24v. Need to investigate how this would be powered with out the main battery pack. It has been suggested that I should use a second 24v power supply that is recharged by the main one with a DC to DC step down convertor – makes sense. Just need to build this in the CAD so see how it all works with the correct farings. I think it might have to drop down a bit lower in the stanchions to match the current ideal location.
