I have decided to take some measures to give the bike a small level of security by locking up the activation switches. I have designed a cam lock into the switch cover. Quite simple really and there is enough purchase at the back of the new switch panel to hold the lever securely. Ultimately this will only deter a thief or a joyrider but it will make life a bit more difficult for a casual criminal that fancies a go because the opportunity is presented to them.

That said, without the locked cover an unauthorised person needs the ignition & battery disconnect key to start the bike. Even so always nice to have another layer of security.
