Isolator carriage v2 printed

I know I should be used to it by now (after all I see it happens all the time in University and in the design industry) but it still amazes me that I can print designs into reality that only exist on a computer. Anyway, I managed to push out a rough print overnight to help confirm the validity of the second version of the isolator carriage. Dimensional accuracy is spot on and all the current cables fit in well. I have no doubt that there will be more cables in there but I think there is more than enough space to hold them.

Need to check the design with a couple of people and make a couple of tweeks, that I kinda saw in the CAD but wanted to prove in 3D, then I think this prototype part this is nearly done and ready to print in ABS.

I think now would be a good time to start thinking about recycled filament to align with the project ethics of sustainability as I am using more of the stuff and my general knowledge of printing is increasing.
